Yesterday we covered how Vivo has came with Vivo V7+ Infinite Red special edition for Valentines day. Now Xiaomi may launch Redmi 5 as well as Redmi 5 Plus on February 14.
Redmi 5 is successor to the last year’s Xiaomi Redmi 4.
As we mentioned, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 is likely to launch on Wednesday, February 14, which is the Valentine’s Day. The invite sent out by Xiaomi along with social media teasers hint towards the launch of a new device.

While the launch of Redmi 5 is likely to be launched on Valentines Day & Redmi 5 Plus is also expected to launch in India. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus 3GB RAM variant is available in China at 999 yuan (roughly Rs. 10,200) & its 4GB RAM variant is priced at 1,299 yuan (roughly Rs. 13,200).

For the specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus come with similar specifications in terms of camera & connectivity options.
Both the smartphones sport 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture & PDAF while there is a 5-megapixel camera with soft-light flash on the front.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 packs a 3300mAh battery & Redmi 5 Plus houses has a 4000mAh battery under the hood.
