Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile no longer getting features and hardware

Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President for Windows, Joe Belfiore, today in a series of tweets mentioned how Windows 10 Mobile hardware and features are no longer in focus of Microsoft.

Joe Belfiore also confirms what people were thinking; that from here on, Microsoft will continue to service Windows 10 Mobile with bug fixes and security patches only. Microsoft is not planning to bring any new features to Mobile version of windows 10, nor is it planning to release any new hardware.

Now, it is safe to assume that our beloved Windows 10 Mobile is “DEAD”.
– Microsoft has officially stated that there are no feature developments for the windows 10 mobile.

From now on, Microsoft is working hard to bring the best of windows and Microsoft services to other mobile platforms.

A week ago, We covered the Microsoft bringing Edge to iOS and Android devices, along with renaming official Android launcher with further tie-ins with your Account.

Microsoft is also rumoured to be working on a new mobile device code-named as Andromeda. Which will launch next year with a version of Windows 10 built with Microsoft’s new “Windows Core OS” platform.
