Google shuts down Google Plus, Everything to know about Google+

Google is exposed of breaching data privacy after Wall Street Journal scoop came out. Google is accused of leaking private data of thousands of users and now Google shuts down Google Plus. It’s Social networking site, which as seen growth under Google.

Google+ was tech giant Google’s fourth foray into social networking, which followed by Google Buzz (launched 2010, retired in 2011), Google Friend Connect (launched 2008, retired by March 1, 2012), and Orkut (launched in 2004, retired in September 2014).

The Google announcement also indicate that Google Plus will fully shutdown by August 2019. Before the shut down tech giant will also allow users to download and migrate their information.

While shutting down the tech giant says “no evidence that any developer was aware” of the bug exposing user data”.

In a blog post Google shares how – Google started a probe called Project Strobe, which is a root-and-branch review of third party developer access to Google Account data or Android device data.

The Probe revealed and Google decided –

We’re announcing the first four findings and actions from this review today.

Finding 1: There are significant challenges in creating and maintaining a successful Google+ product that meets consumers’ expectations.

Action 1: We are shutting down Google+ for consumers.
