App Launch Alert – Rebranded Microsoft News App Available Now for Android & iOS

Microsoft launched it’s Rebranded Microsoft News App from MSN News and is not available for Android & iOS Devices. So you still remember MSN.com and you are still using it,

Now after year’s Microsoft has relaunched it for Mobile with new layout.

Available for Android and iOS, Microsoft News brings you stories from the company’s MSN News effort, that’s been online for several years –

with a modern interface that should be familiar to folks who’ve tried Apple News and Google News.

The app has also been completely redesigned into a modern and beautiful experience tailored to iOS and Android devices.

Here are some of new features of Rebranded Microsoft News App
  • New personalization upgrades, including the ability to tailor interests to follow in your news feed i.e.
    • World News,
    • Personal Finance,
    • Fitness and many more – and also to roam interests across devices as well as local news options for top cities
  • Easy to configure breaking news alerts
  • A new dark theme, enabling better night reading
  • Simplified access through seamless integration with iOS and Android widgets
  • Continuous reading, for a smooth content experience
There’s also a section for local news; testing it on my Vivo V7 it brings stories from various outlets covering my city. However, these articles were displayed in an in-app browser, as opposed to the native view.
You can choose between a light and dark theme, and opt to receive notifications for breaking news stories. One feature I missed from Google News is the ‘Full Coverage’ button.
It also brings up multiple publications perspectives on the same topic as well as event in a single list.
